About Our Firm
Established in 1976, Martin E. Rich Architect, PC is a service-oriented design office emphasizing planning of commercial and medical projects. The firm has provided architectural and interior work and consulting services for organizations such as Associated Press, IBM, Pfizer Inc, Olympus America, Nike Inc., MetLife, and Commercial Metals Inc. In addition to corporate projects, the firm has been involved in planning for offices and hospitals and has received national recognition in this area.
Our services span a wide range from feasibility studies and space analysis through planning, design, and completion. The firm combines skilled project oversight with attention to detail. We coordinate, schedule and facilitate the work of specialized services within the scope of complex projects. We investigate approaches to sustainable design. The firm also provides interior design services and creates custom furniture and millwork to support any specialized needs.
Our office size allows close monitoring of projects and rapid response to client needs. The staff of seven professionals is computer proficient and highly skilled. All efforts are supported by CAD systems for planning, design and documentation, and close control over budgets and project schedules.
Martin E. Rich, AIA, LEED AP, is a registered architect and holds a Masters of Architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania, where he studied under Louis Kahn. Prior to establishing Martin E. Rich Architect, PC, he was an associate of Edward Larrabee Barnes, FAIA, on major institutional building projects. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the NCARB. In addition, he has co-authored a book on endoscopy planning and has written and lectured extensively on endoscopy design. Most recently, Mr. Rich contributed a chapter on the design of colonoscopy suites to Colonoscopy: Principles and Practice, edited by J.D. Waye, D.K. Rex and C. Williams.
